Pupils are placed in classes based upon which Primary or Year group they belong to at school. All classes are limited in number and fill up very quickly on registration day.
By the start of Academic New Year in September most classes are full, however, if you wish to apply for a place outside of registration day you can email email@example.com
At our school we firmly believe while life has been enriched in so many ways over the past number of decades, for some this technology and recreational advancements have taken our children away from communicating interpersonally with friends and family. Thus when young people go out to the world of work their confidence about communicating effectively can be questioned.
Employers are looking for confident, articulate effective communicators. In recognition of this we feel once pupils reach a particular age they should have something to show for their academic year work with us. So from P5 and upwards, pupils complete their Grade examination.
Grades are not a competitive event. All pupils who work hard and attend class can obtain this national and internationally recognized qualification.
We use a number of boards to cover various elements of our syllabus.
- THE IRISH BOARD
- THE ROYAL IRISH ACADEMY
- TRINITY LONDON
The exams take place twice in the year:
- Our spring term; Grade 7, Grade 8, Senior Certificate in Speech and Drama
- Our Summer term; Grade 1-6
You have to believe in yourself, that’s the secret. Even when I was in the orphanage, when I was roaming the street trying to find enough to eat, even then I thought of myself as the greatest actor in the world. I had to feel the exuberance that comes from utter confidence in yourself. Without it, you go down to defeat.”
